Dunes Parkway
Lake Michigan Dunes are far and away one of the most unique landscapes of Michigan. The 84-acre Dunes Parkway preserve is located along Blue Star Highway in Covert Township. The highway has long been enjoyed as the "scenic route" when traveling through Southwest Michigan.

As the coastal areas of Van Buren county increasing were threaten by development, a handfull of generous landowners stepped forward to work with the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy to preserve the dunes along Blue Star Highway. These landowners did not want to see the property devastated by mining or development. Today and into the future these dunes will remain natural and inviting to naturalist of the region.
